The Staff Selection Commission conducted the Multi Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination, 2022 in two phases from May 2, 2023, to June 20, 2023. The computer-based examination was held at various centers across the country. The result of the examination for the post of Havaldar was declared on September 2, 2023, with 3015 candidates shortlisted for the Physical Efficiency Test/Physical Standard Test (PET/PST).
The PET/PST for the post of Havaldar was conducted by CBIC, and out of the 1683 candidates who appeared for it, 1586 candidates qualified. The marks scored by candidates in the Computer Based Examination were normalized as per the formula provided by the Commission.
The vacancies for the post of MTS were received in two age groups, 18 to 25 years and 18 to 27 years. Separate cut-offs were fixed for both age groups, State/UT-wise, and category-wise. Candidates who were eligible for both age groups were first considered in the age group of 18-25 years.
Candidates were considered for selection based on their performance in Session-II of the Computer Based Examination. For the post of MTS, final selection was based on performance in Session-II of CBE. For the post of Havaldar, final selection was based on performance in Session-II of CBE and qualifying in PET/PST, subject to meeting the required physical standards.

The final result of the Multi Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination, 2022 has been declared based on these criteria. Candidates have been shortlisted and considered for final selection based on their performance in Session-II of CBE and their preference for Post-cum-States/UTs/CCAs as indicated in their online Application Form.
